Welcome to The Tower, an introductory climbing wall built inside the church tower of Holy Trinity Church, Barnstaple.

Our 25ft wall is built on 3 of the interior walls of the recently renovated tower and includes slab and overhanging routes with arêtes and corners to add interest. It's a small wall, but somehow we've managed to get 20 routes up, with technical grades from 3 (pretty easy) to 6a (beyond most mortals).

Whether you've never climbed before or are wanting to refresh and renew an interest, this is a great place to come. For more experienced climbers we offer a unique opportunity in North Devon, to climb inside one of Barnstaple's landmark buildings, within walking distance of bus, rail and the town centre.

The Tower is ideal for small groups working with a single instructor - up to 3 people climbing at one time, with room for belaying and backing up; but with the knowledge that you have the space booked for yourselves.
